The Record of Records

Somewhat of an outsider artist, Akira Takahashi's artworks consist mostly of large scale monumental sculptures created out of recycled materials. In 'The Man Who Built A Dragon', the collaboration features a collection of Akira's life, works, awards and newspaper documents, which are visually narrated and designed into a book of records. With this record of records, the work aims to highlight yet another aspect of the recording mode: the multiplicity of circumstances that nowadays sees the same word used for very different occurrences and phenomenons.

The book was produced for the exhibition COS•MO, curated by Gilles Massot, with supporting photographs by Raymond Wu and Palak Mittal.
